The rural setting of the Village Hall
This is a new venue for ‘Wind Serenades’ - a lovely characterful village hall in a rural setting just outside Bristol, near the River Avon and close to Clifton and the famous Clifton suspension bridge.
Each one-day course will consist of tutored rehearsals from 10am to 4pm, with breaks for tea/coffee and lunch, then a final run-through at 4.30pm, to which any family members or friends are very welcome to attend - it will also be a free concert for any local people who may be interested.
The Saturday course will feature a special arrangement of Mozart’s magnificent Divertimento K.166 - one of the finest of his earlier chamber works.
On Sunday, advanced players will be able to explore Jean Francaix’s delightfully colourful music Sept Danses aprés ‘Les Malheurs de Sophie’ - an original ballet score for wind dectet, challenging in places but well worth the effort!
Course fee: £55 per player
