Wind Serenades

Wind Chamber Music Courses across the United Kingdom, directed by Laurence Perkins

'New Horizons'

If you are an elementary-standard player (approximately grades 3-5 - click here for playing standard details) and new to ensemble playing, this is the course for you - a chance to experience the joys of a shared musical experience with like-minded players of a similar standard. The music for 'New Horizons' courses is specially selected to be playable, enjoyable and a useful introduction to the techniques of chamber music. Throughout the session there will be friendly, supportive tuition to guide you and offer helpful tips on ensemble playing and musical performance generally. Your music will be sent to you (along with final course details) about 3-4 weeks before the course, for personal practice. Parts may be doubled (depending on the number of players applying), and there is no performance, though friends and family are welcome to attend and observe sessions at any time.
