Wind Serenades

Wind Chamber Music Courses across the United Kingdom, directed by Laurence Perkins

This is where 'Wind Serenades' started back in 2002, and it remains as one of the most popular of all the courses in the series. It is now a two-day weekend course for elementary, intermediate and advanced players (click here for playing standard details), with tuition by two of Britain's leading woodwind players - flautist Lynda Coffin and bassoonist Laurence Perkins. This weekend course is a great chance to play in smaller and larger graded groups exploring varied repertoire (which will be finalized about 4 weeks before the course, when exact player/instrument details are known), with an informal concert as the final event on Sunday afternoon. There is also a musical gathering (for those who wish to) in the local 'live music' pub on Saturday evening, which is totally informal and spontaneous - bring whatever instrument you like and join in the traditional folk melodies or any musical contribution you care to make!
