Wind Serenades

Wind Chamber Music Courses across the United Kingdom, directed by Laurence Perkins

'Windsurfers'

For advanced-level diploma standard players (please note - this is well above grade 8 standard: click here for playing standard details), 'Windsurfers' courses are a superb chance for you to tackle some of the great masterpieces (and some excellent arrangements) in the advanced wind chamber repertoire. Expert tuition will provide top-level guidance through the technical and musical subtleties of the music being played, along with help and advice on advanced ensemble techniques, applicable equally to chamber music and orchestral section playing. Your music will be sent to you (along with final course details) about 3-4 weeks before the course, for personal practice. All music is performed one-player-to-a-part, and there will be an informal concert performance at the end of each course, with free admission to family, friends and any interested members of the public. These one-day courses are located in attractive areas, so you can make the course part of a great weekend away!
